Background: Tim retired from the Hawthorne Police Department in October 2014 after 25 years of experience. He spent 14 years of his career as a Detective and developed extensive investigative skills pertaining to homicide, robbery and narcotic related cases. Since his retirement in 2014, he has been the Hawthorne Police Department’s Pre-employment Background Investigator for all Law Enforcement positions within the department.

During his career, he was assigned as a Field Training Officer for the Department for a total of 5 years, where he trained new police officers to become independent officers that are willing and capable of working in a solo capacity. He was a member of the Hawthorne Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) for 13 years where he worked his way through the ranks of the team to the position of SWAT Scout.

Throughout Tim’s career with the Hawthorne Police Department, he earned the following awards; Medal of Valor, Officer of the Year and Sustained Superiority in investigations.
