Background: Tom has 20 years of law enforcement experience as a Police Officer in the Simi Valley Police Dept. and the Los Angeles Police Dept. He was a member of the Pistol Team in both the SVPD and LAPD, and won several “Top Gun” awards including Silver Medal in National Police/Fire Olympics. While serving the LAPD Tom was deployed in the 1992 Riots, worked alongside National Guard, and served as a member of the Specialized Collision Investigative Detail (SCID TEAM), and was certified as an Accident Investigator Instructor and Radar Instructor. Tom is also a U.S. Army Veteran, having served our country from 1974 to 1977. Tom has been cast in over 60 films and television shows, as well as numerous national TV commercial campaigns, often portraying a cop. He has also served as Technical Adviser and Consultant on numerous Film and TV projects involving police techniques and procedures and as On-Camera Subject Matter Expert on nationally syndicated TV crime interview and re-enactment shows.

 

Expertise: Tom is an extremely well versed expert in law enforcement tactics, techniques, and procedures, and has leveraged his experience, expertise, and versatility for a variety of entertainment enterprises over the years, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. He is a Firearms Marksman and has been awarded the U.S. Army’s National Defense Ribbon. Tom also earned a degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University in 1980.
